Webinar on Cybersecurity in Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs)

The national initiative Sweden Secure Tech Hub invites you to a webinar addressing the current landscape of digital threats and risks facing small and medium-sized enterprises.

Last year, we conducted a comprehensive survey to understand how SMEs in the tech sector perceive and manage digital security. The goal was to gather insights and up-to-date data to help us tailor relevant support and offerings for SMEs. During this webinar, we will present and discuss the results of this survey.

In addition, SSF – the Swedish Theft Prevention Association, in collaboration with MSB – the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, has explored how Swedish small businesses view cybersecurity. We will also share the findings of this joint study, which reveals a high level of concern among small businesses about cyberattacks.

Karl Emil Nikka, IT security specialist at SSF, will introduce Säkerhetskollen, a free platform designed to help SMEs assess and improve their cybersecurity.

Sakarias Strand, project manager at Sweden Secure Tech Hub, will present the findings of the SME survey and demonstrate Cybersäkerhetskollen – another free tool developed by MSB to enhance resilience and strengthen civil defense.

There will be a discussion and time for questions. The webinar will be moderated by Katarina Nordström, project manager at Lindholmen Science Park, one of the six science parks that together form Sweden Secure Tech Hub. The event is completely free of charge. Learn more and register via the link in this email.

About Sweden Secure Tech Hub

Sweden Secure Tech Hub is a national initiative designed to support SMEs in strengthening their cybersecurity and reducing the risk of cyberattacks—both on their own operations and as part of larger supply chains. To shape relevant offerings, we began with a large-scale needs assessment involving SMEs across our regions. The results have guided the development of impactful activities, such as expert advisory services and a free university-level course on cybersecurity for SMEs—now running for the second consecutive year. You’ll hear more about these initiatives during the webinar.

Six of Sweden’s leading science parks in tech and digitalization collaborate in the Sweden Secure Tech Hub:

  • Lindholmen Science Park (Gothenburg)

  • Linköping Science Park

  • Ideon Science Park (Lund)

  • Kista Science Park (Stockholm)

  • Luleå Science Park

  • Blue Science Park (Karlskrona)

Sweden Secure Tech Hub has been designated as a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) by the EU, which means we have a special mandate to support secure digital transformation for businesses and society. Our work is funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket), and our respective regional partners. As a result, much of what we offer is completely free for your company.
